If you’re all-in on iOS, you really don’t need a third-party app:
-
Apple’s Screen Time + Family Sharing
• In Settings → Screen Time you can set app limits, downtime schedules, content restrictions and get weekly usage reports for each child.
• With Family Sharing you can approve downloads remotely and even reset a forgotten Screen Time passcode. -
Find My
• Built into every iPhone/iPad. Real-time location sharing, plus notifications when someone leaves or arrives at a location.
Between those two you get screen-time management, app control and family tracking with zero extra cost, industry-leading privacy and rock-solid reliability.
If you need cross-platform support, a few popular options are:
– Life360 (great tracking feature-set but can be a battery hog and does more data collection than Apple)
– FamiSafe (solid parental controls but on a subscription model)
Android parental apps can work, but they often suffer from OS-version fragmentation, less consistent updates and weaker privacy guarantees compared to Apple’s built-ins.
