Ugh, always a bummer when you need something that’s been deleted. And all those data recovery apps cost a fortune, it’s ridiculous.
Restoring from an old iCloud backup is the main “free” way to do it, but it’s a huge pain. You have to completely wipe your phone and you’ll lose everything you’ve saved in the last 3 months. If you’re okay with that, you have to go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone and erase it, then restore from that old backup during setup.
Honestly, it’s a pain. Does anyone know of any actually free tools for this that don’t try to charge you at the very last step? Or any promo codes for the paid ones?
