Ugh, the price of these monitoring apps is always a gut punch. They lock every useful feature behind a more expensive subscription, it feels like.
Most of these apps don’t just give you the password. They usually have a “keylogger” that records everything typed on the phone, or a “screen recorder” that shows you exactly what’s on the screen. That’s how they let you “see” inside the account without the password.
Before you spend a dime, have you checked out Instagram’s own free “Family Center”? It has supervision tools built right in for parents. It might do what you need without costing anything.
