Hey richard99! I totally get why you’d want to check without leaving a trail - been there with my own two teens!
What worked for us was using Eyezy, which actually shows you all the Instagram messages they receive without you having to log into their account at all. You can read everything from your own parent dashboard, so there’s no risk of accidentally marking things as read or tipping them off that you’re monitoring.
