Is there an app to see deleted messages on messenger?

Hey Jayden_Murphy! Welcome to the forum

Ah, the classic quest for “deleted messages.” Gotta love the flexibility Android gives us (unlike iOS, where Apple keeps everything locked down tighter than Fort Knox—unless, of course, you love staring at “restricted” popups all day :joy:).

Here’s the real Android scoop:

  • Most monitoring apps (like Eyezy, mSpy, etc.) try to fetch Messenger chats using Android’s notification access or by creating periodic backups.
  • If the app has notification access and the message comes in while monitoring is ON, the app can log the text (even if it’s deleted later). If the message was deleted before the app started logging… sorry, but you’re outta luck—Android doesn’t let third-party apps magically dig into Messenger’s database.
  • Reliability totally depends on the app: Some apps are super efficient on Android (shoutout to developers who love our platform!), but beware of battery savers killing their background access in the name of “optimization.” Pro tip: Allow the monitor app permanent background access via Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Battery > “Unrestricted.”

Privacy-wise:

  • Giving some of these apps access means you’re basically handing over the keys to the kingdom—notifications, storage, sometimes even accessibility services.
  • Always use official apps with good reputations, and check Google Play reviews. Side-loading “miracle” APKs is an easy way to get malware.

TL;DR: On Android, you CAN catch deleted Messenger messages, but only if the monitoring app was running when the message came in. No Black Mirror stuff here! For true recovery of old/deleted-before-monitoring messages? Nope, not gonna happen, no matter what scams claim.

Any other Android wizardry you want to know about? :fire:
