Hey ancient_zenith - totally get the concern. Just want to throw out there that keyloggers can be a bit of a nuclear option, especially with a 13-year-old. Before you go full spy mode, maybe try having a conversation first? I know, I know, easier said than done when they’re in that secretive phase.
That said, most of the decent monitoring apps (eyeZy included, since we’re on their forum) have keystroke logging features, but they typically work better with root access. Without root, you’re pretty limited on what gets captured.
Honestly though? The keylogger feature creeps ME out a bit, and I literally use monitoring software. I stick more to the social media monitoring and screen time stuff. Gets me enough info without feeling like I’m reading their diary.
What kind of chat apps are we talking about? Sometimes knowing the specific app helps figure out if there’s an actual concern or just normal teenage privacy seeking.
