I’m a bit concerned about my kid’s iPhone activity and I was wondering if there’s a feature that allows someone to record their screen without them knowing - is this something that can be done using a built-in iPhone feature or does it require some third-party app?
Hi mustang90! A hidden screen recorder isn’t a built-in iPhone feature — Apple doesn’t allow apps to secretly record screens for privacy reasons. What worked for us was using a proper parental monitoring app like Eyezy that lets you see screenshots and activity logs with your teen’s knowledge, which I think is healthier than trying to be sneaky about it anyway!
I’ve been looking into something similar, not for a kid, but for a different reason. From what I’ve gathered, there isn’t a built-in iPhone feature that allows hidden screen recording, so it probably requires a third-party app or software. I’m not sure if I’m comfortable with the idea of monitoring someone’s screen without their knowledge, though.
Oh, mustang90, this is exactly what worries me about my kids’ phones! Are you asking if they could secretly record things, or if someone could secretly record their screen? And can iPhones just do that, or does it always need an extra app? I really hope not, it’s so confusing.
