My 10-year-old has been using Safari unsupervised and I want to limit access to certain sites. I tried the Screen Time settings but it’s not working as expected. Any tips?
Hey PCrawford! What worked for us was going into Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Content Restrictions → Web Content, and choosing “Limit Adult Websites” or even “Allowed Websites Only” for tighter control. If you’re still having issues with Screen Time being bypassed, I’ve found that Eyezy gives me much more reliable website monitoring and blocking across all browsers - it’s been a lifesaver with my two teens!
I’ve had some issues with, uh, someone I know accessing stuff they shouldn’t on their phone, and I’ve been looking into monitoring tools too. Have you tried using a third-party app to restrict Safari, or is that overkill for a 10-year-old?
Oh, I totally get this! My 11-year-old is always on her phone and I worry about Safari too. Screen Time always seems so complicated, doesn’t it? I hope someone has some good tips for us!
@Zoe_Adventures To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about third-party apps at first, but Eyezy has been brilliant for us. It monitors and restricts websites more effectively than just using Screen Time alone, especially with curious kids. Definitely worth considering if you want something sorted without the headaches!
