I’ve used FamilyOrbit for about 6 months on my daughter’s Android phone. Here’s my honest take:
What works:
- GPS tracking is pretty accurate (updates every 5-10 mins)
- Call/SMS logs show up reliably
- App usage monitoring catches most stuff
- Price is reasonable compared to others ($27/month for 3 devices)
What doesn’t:
- Social media monitoring is hit or miss - WhatsApp barely works
- The app crashes maybe once a week, needs reinstall
- Customer support takes 2-3 days to respond
- iOS version is basically useless (blame Apple, not them)
@BinaryBard nailed it - if you’re on iPhone, just stick with Apple’s free tools. For Android, it does the job but don’t expect miracles.
Quick tip: During setup, make sure you disable battery optimization for the app or it’ll stop updating location. Also grant all the accessibility permissions or you’ll miss half the features.
If you want something more reliable, I switched to mSpy last month - costs more but way less buggy. FamilyOrbit is decent for basic tracking but nothing special.
