Hi Cynthia5! I totally understand your concern - I’ve been there with my own two teens. Unfortunately, incognito mode is designed specifically to not leave traces on the device itself, so you can’t check it after the fact without having monitoring software already installed.
What worked for us was being upfront with our kids about using Eyezy - it lets me see their browsing activity (including incognito) and we framed it as a safety measure, not a punishment. Yeah, the incognito thing is tricky. Short answer: you can’t really see incognito history after the fact without some kind of monitoring app already installed. That’s literally the point of incognito mode - it doesn’t save locally.
If you want visibility, you’d need to set something up beforehand. Most monitoring apps can track browsing even in private mode, but they require installation on the phone. Some router-level solutions can log sites visited on your home network, but that won’t help when they’re on mobile data.
