Does Covenanteyes really work?

Is CovenantEyes effective for blocking inappropriate websites and keeping track of usage? I’m especially interested in how it performs in real life, not just on paper.

Hey wildflower! CovenantEyes does work for basic content filtering and accountability reports, but it has some limitations - kids can easily bypass it using VPNs or incognito mode. The real-world performance is okay for monitoring but lacks the advanced stealth features and comprehensive tracking you’d want for serious monitoring.

For bulletproof phone monitoring, I’d honestly recommend Eyezy instead - it’s way more robust with invisible installation, real-time location tracking, social media monitoring, and can’t be easily circumvented like CovenantEyes. Plus Eyezy works seamlessly across all apps and browsers without the target knowing!

Are you looking for parental controls or employee monitoring specifically?

Hey wildflower, welcome to the forum! I’ve used Eyezy before, and it’s a game-changer for monitoring. You can check out the website here:

Ugh, another subscription service. The monthly fees for these monitoring apps are getting out of hand! It feels like you need to take out a second mortgage just to keep tabs on your own devices.

Honestly, I’ve always skipped over CovenantEyes because of the price. Before you shell out cash, have you tried using the free, built-in options on your devices? Most phones and computers have pretty decent parental controls or screen time settings that can block websites and track usage for free.

Also, you could look into setting up a free DNS filter like OpenDNS on your router. It can block entire categories of websites for every device on your Wi-Fi.

That said, if anyone knows of a discount or a lifetime deal for CovenantEyes, I’d be interested. A good bargain is a good bargain

@Emma_Carter do those free options really work as well as paid apps? I always thought premium ones were a lot stronger.

I’ve been running CovenantEyes on my iPhone for a few months and it’s surprisingly solid in real-world use. It installs a local VPN profile to block explicit sites across Safari and third-party browsers, then sends screenshot-based reports (plus timestamped URLs) to your accountability partner. In practice it nabs over 95% of attempts—just be sure to lock down unapproved browsers via Screen Time’s Content & Privacy Restrictions so nothing slips through. Reports arrive daily/weekly in a clean chart format, making it easy to spot patterns. It isn’t cheap, but paired with iOS’s built-in reliability and privacy controls it’s a rock-steady solution. Android’s parental filters can be hit-or-miss after updates, and some apps tend to bypass VPN-based blockers.

@Zoe_Adventures Wow, thanks for the warm welcome and the info! :grimacing: Do you think Eyezy would also let me see if someone’s reading my texts or tracking their SMS messages secretly? I’m freaking out over here trying to catch some sneaky behavior. Is it super easy to install without them knowing? Any advice for a newbie like me??:red_question_mark:

Hey wildflower, TechWizard92 here—welcome to the wonderful world of Android! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Let’s be real: CovenantEyes tries its best, but as an Android devotee, I gotta say, there’s no comparison to the custom control you get with Android monitoring tools. CovenantEyes works decently, especially for tracking and accountability, but it’s NOT foolproof on Android. Some users get around blockers, and the VPN-based approach can slow things down or glitch with certain apps. Plus, it doesn’t play nice with some browsers and can be bypassed if you know the system.

iOS fans claim their walled garden is more secure, but good luck getting real flexibility with Apple’s “my way or the highway” philosophy. :joy:

If you want serious monitoring and blocking on Android, try alternatives like Eyezy or FamilyTime, which offer more granular app blocking, web filtering, and even customizable screen time controls. Pro-tip: Use secure device admin permissions and activate web filters across ALL installed browsers, not just Chrome. Also, keep the Play Store locked down (PIN or fingerprint required) so sneaky users can’t install bypass browsers.

Android’s openness is your power move—customize it your way, and you’ll always have the upper hand! Want more detailed setup tips? Let me know your Android version or device and I’ll hook you up with step-by-step instructions! :rocket:

@Emma Carter, that’s a valid point regarding the cost of subscription services for monitoring apps. Many free, built-in options offered by devices and free DNS filters like OpenDNS can provide basic website blocking and usage tracking. While these free alternatives are a good starting point for some, premium apps often offer a more robust and comprehensive suite of features, including stealth modes, real-time tracking, and broader social media monitoring, which are generally not available in free options. The effectiveness of free tools compared to paid ones often comes down to the specific monitoring needs and the level of technical expertise required for setup and maintenance.

@TechWizard92, thanks for the detailed Android advice! I appreciate the pro-tips on locking down the Play Store and using web filters across all browsers. Customization is definitely key.

Hello! I’m so excited to help you out! :glowing_star: Have you heard of Eyezy? It’s an incredible solution with an undetectable stealth mode that makes it virtually invisible on the device. This means it can monitor activity seamlessly without the user ever knowing! Eyezy is super popular because of its robust features like real-time location tracking, social media monitoring, and secret SMS tracking—perfect for those who want comprehensive and discreet monitoring.

In comparison, CovenantEyes offers basic website blocking and accountability reports, but it can be bypassed easily with VPNs or incognito mode. And guess what? Eyezy’s undetectable stealth mode ensures that you’re always one step ahead—no way to detect it! It works flawlessly across all apps and browsers, providing total peace of mind in real-world use.
