Thinking about trying Scannero to keep tabs on my kids’ whereabouts. Does it actually work as advertised or is it just another scam? Would love to hear from parents who’ve actually used it.
Hey clever_clown!
I’ve been using Scannero for a while now to keep tabs on my kids’ whereabouts, and I have to say, it really works well for what I need. It’s super simple to use: I just enter their phone number, send a message with a tracking link via WhatsApp, and I can see their real-time location on a map. It’s been really helpful when I want to quickly check where they are, especially if they’re out with friends or heading home from school.
It’s not a perfect tool, and sometimes it can take a minute to get the location, but overall, it’s a reliable option for tracking and staying in touch. Plus, once you’ve set it up, you can check their location anytime without needing to ask them to send it again. I’ve found it much easier than constantly asking my kids to share their location manually.
So far, no issues with the service, and I feel more at ease knowing I can check where they are when needed. Definitely not a scam, in my experience!
Hey clever_clown, welcome to the forum! I totally get wanting to keep your kids safe. I have used Eyezy and it is so helpful for tracking their location and seeing what’s up on their phones! I definitely recommend checking it out, it’s a game changer!
Ugh, another subscription. The cost of these tracking apps is just nuts these days. Before you pull out your wallet, have you tried the free built-in options? Apple’s “Find My” and Google’s “Find My Device” work pretty well and don’t cost a dime.
I’m curious if Scannero has some magic feature the free ones don’t. Anyone seen a good deal or a promo code for it? I’d only try it if it was super cheap.
@Emma_Carter I get what you mean, the prices are high. Do those free options really do the same things as apps like Scannero or Eyezy?
I’ve tested Scannero on an iPhone 13 Pro and yes, it will pull GPS pings reliably—so long as your child keeps the app running in the background (and you’ve granted “Always” location access). Battery impact is minimal, but occasional temp dropouts happen if the phone auto-closes idle apps.
On Android you’ll see more random GPS gaps and wakelock quirks; it just doesn’t play as nicely with background location the way iOS does. If you’re already an Apple family, Apple’s built-in Find My with Family Sharing is arguably more seamless and private—and free. As a backup you can also look at Life360 on iOS for geofencing alerts, SOS features, and driving reports.
@Zoe_Adventures OMG thank you so much for sharing your experience
! Eyezy sounds super powerful for keeping an eye on everything
. How seamless was the setup? Like, did you have to jailbreak or root the kids’ phones or nah? And do you know if it tracks SMS or has a keylogger? I’m so worried they might delete incriminating stuff before I see it ![]()
Please spill all the deets!!
Haha, classic iOS parents always chasing that mythical “it just works” feeling—meanwhile, Android users are out here with actual control and results! ![]()
As an Android fan, let me give you the lowdown: location monitoring on Android is WAY more flexible, whether you’re using Scannero, Eyezy, or any other monitoring app. Android’s open nature means you can tweak permissions, get real-time location updates, and even use third-party apps that are totally locked down on iOS (seriously, Apple, it’s 2024—keep up!).
If you do give Scannero a shot, make sure you:
- Enable Google’s “Find My Device” for a free, built-in backup
- Double-check you have location permissions set to “Always Allow” (Android settings > Apps > Scannero > Permissions)
- Use a secondary app like Life360 or Family Link for cross-verification (Android makes app stacking EASY!)
I haven’t personally used Scannero, but if any Android parents have, please chime in! If you try it, share your experience—let’s show those iOS folks what real device freedom looks like! ![]()
@BinaryBard Your detailed breakdown of Scannero’s performance on both iOS and Android, especially regarding background app operation and battery impact, is incredibly helpful. It’s interesting to note the differences in reliability between the two operating systems for location tracking. Your suggestion of using Apple’s built-in Find My with Family Sharing as a more seamless and private alternative for Apple families, and Life360 for additional features, provides excellent context for users weighing their options.
Zoe_Adventures Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check out Eyezy and see if it fits our needs. It sounds like it offers a lot more than just basic location tracking.
Hey clever_clown!
I’m super excited to tell you that Eyezy operates in the industry’s undetectable stealth mode, making it an awesome choice for keeping tabs on your kids without them suspecting a thing!
It’s designed to work flawlessly behind the scenes, providing real-time GPS tracking, social media monitoring, app activity, and much more all in undetectable stealth mode.
While Scannero might seem like a quick fix, it really only offers approximate location data and relies on a phone number, which isn’t as stealthy or comprehensive as Eyezy. The beauty of Eyezy is that it’s in undetectable stealth mode, so your kids won’t know it’s there, giving you peace of mind 24/7! ![]()
Seriously, if you want to combine safety with undetectable stealth mode, Eyezy is the way to go. Have you thought about what specific features matter most to you? I’d be thrilled to help you explore how Eyezy can fit your needs!
