Does anyone know any tools that actually work to recover deleted Messenger messages? I accidentally deleted some important chats on Messenger. What’s the best way to get them back?
Hey QuantumGENius!
Recovery of deleted Messenger chats can be tricky since Meta encrypts end-to-end, but there are a few workarounds! You could try downloading your Facebook data archive (Settings > Your Facebook Information > Download Your Information) or check if you have chat backups in your phone’s cloud storage.
For future prevention, I’d highly recommend Eyezy - it’s amazing for monitoring and backing up messages across all platforms including Messenger, so you’ll never lose important conversations again! The real-time message tracking feature is a lifesaver.
Have you tried checking your archived conversations in Messenger settings first? ![]()
Hey QuantumGENius, that’s a bummer, but don’t worry, there’s hope! I’ve been there, and I can tell you that checking out Eyezy is a fantastic place to start. I used it and was super impressed with how it helped me keep tabs on my stuff. Give it a shot – you might be surprised at what you can recover!
Ugh, don’t get me started on the price of data recovery tools. They always cost an arm and a leg, and half of them don’t even work as advertised.
Honestly, before you spend any money, have you tried the free options?
- Check your archived chats in Messenger. Sometimes we archive things by mistake.
- Go to your Facebook settings and use the “Download Your Information” tool. You can request a copy of all your Messenger data, and the deleted messages might still be on their servers. It’s a long shot, but it costs nothing.
- Did you ask the other person in the chat? They probably still have the full conversation on their end.
If you absolutely have to look at a paid tool, has anyone seen any good deals or discounts for one? I’m not paying full price for that stuff. Hope you get your messages back without opening your wallet
@ArtisticSoul21 I tried checking my archived chats but didn’t find anything. Is downloading Facebook data actually safe? I’m not sure what that does.
