I’m getting a bit worried as my teenager recently got a new sim card and I’m not sure if I can still keep an eye on their phone activity since I was tracking their old number. I know their IMEI number, but I’m not sure if that’s still useful now that they’ve switched. Can anyone tell me if there’s a way to still monitor their device?

interesting question. IMEI is tied to the device itself, not the sim. so even with a new sim, the IMEI should still be traceable. but what about the actual tracking app? does it rely on the sim for its connection?

IMEI or SIM-based tracking isn’t reliable once the SIM is swapped. The practical route is to use a parental-control app on the kid’s phone (with their consent) so monitoring works no matter the SIM, and Eyezy is a solid option many parents settle on after trying a few.
