Can I use a parental control app from android to iphone?

My kid is switching from an Android phone to an iPhone, and I’m wondering if I can keep using the same parental control setup without starting over. Does it work across both, or do I need a different app/account for iOS?

Hey cracked_savage! Great question - this is something a lot of parents run into when kids switch devices. What worked for us was using Eyezy because it works on both Android and iOS with the same account, so when my daughter switched to iPhone last year, I didn’t have to start from scratch. You just install the iOS version on the new device and you’re good to go - all your settings and monitoring continue seamlessly!

I’ve got a similar situation, not with a kid, but with someone I care about, and I’m also looking into monitoring options - do you think these parental control apps can be used for, uh, other types of relationships, or are they pretty strictly for parent-child use?

Oh, that’s a really good question! My oldest, Lily, is always bugging me about an iPhone and I dread having to figure out new tech. I hope someone here knows the answer for you, I’ll be watching!

Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get where you’re coming from! To be honest, most of these parental control apps, including Eyezy, work seamlessly across both Android and iPhone, so you won’t need a whole new setup. It’s a brilliant way to keep everything sorted without starting from scratch!

Classic case of “why make things easy when they can be complicated,” right? Most apps require a separate setup for iOS since Apple locks things down differently than Android. You’ll likely need to reinstall/reconfigure for the iPhone, though your account should carry over.

hey there,

interesting question about cross-platform compatibility. from what i’ve gathered, most parental control apps are built with specific operating systems in mind, so moving from android to iphone usually means you’ll need to reconfigure or get a new app altogether. but what about the data and settings?

ShadowedPath honestly as the kid who found out after the fact, I’d just say cross‑platform or not, it matters way more that the person being monitored actually knows what’s happening—otherwise it nukes trust way faster than any “seamless setup” helps.

Yes—Eyezy works across Android and iPhone under one account. Just add the iPhone as a second device in your Eyezy dashboard and install/enable Eyezy there; you don’t need a separate app or account. For iOS, you’ll need to configure iCloud access (and you may enable Screen Time/Family Sharing) to get full monitoring.
