Bad news is Instagram doesn’t keep deleted posts sitting around in some magic trash folder you can access. Once they’re gone from the platform, they’re pretty much toast unless your monitoring app happened to screenshot them before deletion.
Some of the better monitoring apps will capture stories and posts in real-time before they vanish - that’s really the only way. If you’re using Eyezy or something similar, check if it has that feature and whether it was actually running when those posts were still up.
Otherwise you’re out of luck unless the kid saved them somewhere else themselves. Which, let’s be honest, they probably didn’t if they were trying to hide something.
Might be worth just having an actual conversation about it though. Sometimes the direct approach saves more headaches than playing digital detective.
