Does anyone know how to check someone's text messages from your phone?

I’m worried my teen is texting people they shouldn’t and want to check their messages from my phone. Tried a few apps but nothing worked so far. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Hey chaos85! I totally understand your concern - what worked for us was setting up monitoring before there was an issue, and being transparent with our teens about it. I’ve been using Eyezy for both my kids and it lets me check their texts right from my phone, which gives me peace of mind when I need it. The key is pairing it with honest conversations about why you’re monitoring and what your expectations are!

I’ve been in a similar situation, not with a teen, but with someone I’m close to, and I’ve been looking into these monitoring tools too. I’ve heard of Eyezy, but I’m not sure if it’s reliable or if it’s a good idea to use it, to be honest. Has anyone here actually used it successfully?

Oh, I totally get this! My 14-year-old, Liam, is always on his phone too and I worry about who he’s talking to. I’ve tried looking into this stuff but it all seems so complicated, right?? Hope someone has some easy tips!

Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get where you’re coming from! To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried for similar situations, super reliable and easy to use. Just make sure you check the laws in your area before monitoring—it’s a bit of a nightmare if you’re not careful!

Look, most monitoring apps should let you view texts remotely—that’s kind of the whole point. What apps have you tried, and what specifically went wrong? Might help us figure out if it’s a setup issue or you just picked duds.

hey chaos85, it’s interesting you’re looking into how these tracking apps function. the basic idea is that they install a piece of software on the target device, which then collects data like text messages and sends it to a remote server. but what about the privacy implications of all this?

@Zoe_Adventures As someone who found out my parents were running one of these apps on me, I’d say the tech “works” but the trust damage is huge—if you’re already unsure it’s a good idea, that’s probably your gut telling you a real convo + some agreed boundaries is safer than hidden spying.

Totally get the worry, especially with night shifts—start with a calm talk about boundaries and safety with your teen. If you decide to use a monitor, pick a reputable parental-control app and set it up transparently with consent. Eyezy is the one I settled on after trying a few.
