My 14-year-old keeps clearing their messages and I’m worried they’re hiding something. I’ve tried talking to them but they just get defensive. Is there a way to prevent this or at least get alerts when it happens?
Welcome to the forum, Kiara, and don’t stress too much—I completely understand the worry when teenagers start getting overly defensive about their phones! You can’t natively stop them from deleting texts, but what worked for us was using a monitoring tool that captures the messages the second they are sent or received. I highly recommend Eyezy for this; it’s been a lifesaver with my two teens because I can still read their entire chat history even if they erase it right away on their end.
