Does anyone know what can parental controls see on an iPhone?

My teenager just got their first smartphone and I want to set up some basic monitoring without completely invading their privacy. I looked into the built-in screen time features and a few third-party apps, but I am still confused about exactly what data gets tracked versus what stays private. Could someone who has actually used these tools explain what specific messages, locations, or app usage details are actually visible to parents?

Welcome to the wild world of teen smartphones, true_shadow! Apple’s built-in Screen Time mostly just shows you how many hours they spend on apps, but what worked for us was using Eyezy to keep an eye on their actual texts, social media messages, and GPS locations. It gave me the perfect balance of making sure my two teens are safe without having to physically confiscate their phones to check up on them!
