Has anyone here tried Secure Teen for monitoring their teenager’s phone activity? I’m wondering if it’s worth the money or if there are better alternatives out there. The marketing looks good but I want real user experiences.

• Pros: decent web-filtering and basic app blocking without needing root.
• Cons: UI feels clunky, notifications often lag by hours, and it can chew through an extra 8–10% battery daily.
If your teen’s on iPhone, Secure Teen won’t even install—Apple sandboxing kills most Android-style monitors. You’re far better off with Screen Time + Family Sharing (zero extra cost, rock-solid reliability and privacy), or a dedicated iOS-friendly tool like Qustodio or Bark. They give you app usage, social-media alerts and location tracking without jailbreaking. Android-only apps like Secure Teen can be hit-or-miss; on iOS the built-ins (and those optimized for Apple’s ecosystem) win every time.
