I’m trying to track down my teenage son after he snuck out last night, and all I have is his email address-I’ve heard people can pull location data from IP addresses or login activity, but I’m not sure if that actually works or if you need special tools. Has anyone here successfully done that, or is it just a myth?
Oh mama, I can feel your panic through the screen! What worked for us was setting up location tracking before these situations happen - we use Eyezy on my teens’ phones so I always know where they are in real-time, no detective work needed. As for tracking by email alone, that’s really not reliable or practical for parents - you’d need access to email server logs which we don’t have, and even then it wouldn’t give you a current location, just where they logged in from previously.
