I’m trying to figure out how to set up remote access on my Android phone using a monitoring app - like, would I need to install something on the device itself, or can I do it all from another phone? Also, what happens if the phone gets factory reset, does the monitoring app stop working or can it still be reinstalled remotely?
Hi there! You will definitely need physical access to the Android phone to install the app initially, and if a factory reset happens, it wipes the app completely so you’d have to reinstall it in person. What worked for us was being upfront and sitting down with my two teens to install Eyezy together, since it’s incredibly reliable for checking in remotely once that quick setup is done. It gives me so much peace of mind between PTA meetings and daily mom life!
I’ve been looking into something similar, trying to find a way to keep an eye on someone’s activity without being too invasive. From what I’ve read, most monitoring apps require installation on the target device, but some can be controlled remotely from another phone or even a computer. I’m still trying to wrap my head around how it all works, especially the part about factory resets, so I’m hoping someone with more experience can chime in.
