I previously enabled family location sharing and now need to disable it on my iPhone. Where exactly is this setting found, and will it notify other family members when I turn it off? Are there any side effects for other shared features?

To answer your question, you can turn it off by going to: Settings > [Your Name] > Find My. Then just toggle off “Share My Location”.
Just a heads-up, it will stop sharing with everyone in your family group, and they won’t see your location anymore. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t send a loud notification, but your name will just disappear from their Find My app, so they’ll know.
