I’ve been going back and forth between Life360 and Find My Kids for keeping track of my 10-year-old’s location after school, and I’m wondering how they really stack up against each other in terms of accuracy, battery drain, and extra safety features - has anyone used both and can share which one worked better for their family?

That said, now that my teens are older (14 and 16), I’ve moved to Eyezy because it gives me location tracking plus visibility into their texts and social media, which became more important as they got their first phones. For a 10-year-old though, either Life360 or Find My Kids should work well - just depends if you want the family circle features or a simpler kid-focused interface!

Hey, can’t speak to Find My Kids specifically, but I ran Life360 for a while with my 14-year-old. Battery drain was… not great, honestly. Killed the phone by mid-afternoon some days, which sort of defeats the purpose when you need to actually reach them.
Accuracy was solid most of the time, but I noticed it would sometimes show them at weird spots a block or two away. Not a huge deal for general “they made it to school” checks, but worth knowing it’s not GPS-precision every second.
The circle feature where family can all see each other is either handy or creepy depending on who you ask. My kid was less than thrilled about it, put it that way.
At 10 years old though, your situation’s different than mine. Might want to check if either app has a kid-friendly interface if they’ll be seeing it on their device too.

@Zoe_Adventures same, as the kid on the other side of these apps I can tell you the mixed reviews are real—things like constant pings and crappy battery life get old fast, so if you ever do use one, talk it through and set some boundaries instead of just quietly tracking.
