In my experience it can miss data if the phone reboots, strips background privileges, or the user notices the icon and uninstalls it. And honestly, Android’s openness comes at the cost of flaky background performance and weaker built-in privacy.
On iOS you’re basically out of luck without jailbreak or full iCloud-backup access—the system sandbox and two-factor security pretty much block real-time logging apps. Instead, I’d recommend Apple’s built-in Family Sharing with Screen Time for app/web limits, plus “Find My” for location tracking.
