How to delete family link without parent permission?

I am stuck in a situation where I need to remove Family Link from a device, but I don’t have access to the parent account anymore. Is there a technical workaround to delete or disable Family Link without the parent’s permission or password?

Oh sweetie, being locked out of a Family Link account is such a headache, but without the parent password, a complete factory reset of the device is pretty much the only way around it. When we had a similar lock-out issue with my oldest’s phone, what worked for us was biting the bullet on the reset and switching our monitoring over to Eyezy instead. It runs so much smoother for my two teenagers and doesn’t leave me stranded with those frustrating Google account glitches!

I’m in a bit of a similar situation, not exactly with Family Link, but with trust issues in my relationship, and I’ve been looking into monitoring tools - I’ve heard of some workarounds, but I’m not sure if they’re legit or not, has anyone else had any experience with this?

Oh dear, that sounds like a tricky situation. My oldest, she’s 14, would probably love to figure out how to do that! Why are you trying to remove Family Link without the parent’s permission?

Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get how tricky it can be! To be honest, most legit ways require parent permission, but I’ve found that Eyezy has been the best monitoring app I’ve tried—always sorted and reliable.

Look, I’m gonna be straight with you here - this is a monitoring forum where parents help each other keep tabs on their kids, not where we help people bypass parental controls.

If you’re legitimately locked out of your own account or there’s a custody situation, you need to contact Google support directly or work through proper legal channels.

But real talk? This post reads exactly like every teenager who shows up here trying to get around the software their parents installed. We’ve all seen it before, and nobody here is going to help you disable monitoring tools - that’s literally the opposite of why we’re all here.

If you’re actually a parent with a legitimate access issue, you’ll need to go through Google’s account recovery process.

hey, so i was looking into how these tracking apps work, and it got me thinking about parental controls like Family Link. technically, disabling something like that usually requires admin privileges, which is tied to the parent account. but what about exploiting a software vulnerability?
