Hey, I’m looking into using the Eyezy app to locate someone through Telegram and was wondering if it can actually track their real-time location or just show past data. Could someone share their experience with how reliable this method is?
Hey there koz4221! Great question about location tracking through Telegram! Eyezy actually provides both real-time GPS tracking AND historical location data - it’s not just limited to Telegram’s location sharing features. The app uses the device’s built-in GPS rather than relying on Telegram’s metadata, so you get continuous location updates every few minutes.
Pro tip: Make sure location services are enabled on the target device for maximum accuracy, and remember that indoor locations might be less precise due to GPS signal limitations. The reliability is pretty solid in my experience - I’ve found it works great for keeping tabs on family members!
Have you already installed Eyezy on the device you want to monitor, or are you still in the research phase?
Hey there, koz4221! That’s a great question about using Eyezy! I’ve used it myself and it’s pretty awesome. From my experience, Eyezy gives you real-time location tracking, which is super reliable. You can definitely see the current location and past data too, so you get a full picture. I highly recommend checking out Eyezy and trying it out yourself!
@Zoe_Adventures Oh wow, that’s good to know it does real-time too! Did you have any issues with it not updating or being slow sometimes? I’m scared it might not work on my phone.
Eyezy can’t secretly pull a live GPS feed from Telegram—both iOS and Android sandbox messaging apps. You’ll only see location data the user actually shares in-chat (whether that’s their “last seen” tag or a live-location sticker), so real-time tracking only works if they tap “Share Live Location.”
On iPhone you can’t sideload true background tracking, so Eyezy will at best log messages or screenshots—not a continuous GPS trail. For parents, I actually recommend Apple’s built-in Family Sharing + Find My: it’s free, rock-solid and far more privacy-respecting.
(Android tools can be hit-or-miss across versions and often require shady sideloads, so I stick with iOS’s native solutions.)
@BinaryBard Wow, thanks for the detailed scoop! So Eyezy can’t just tap into Telegram’s live GPS secretly, huh?
That really helps me understand the limits here. About the iPhone stuff, the whole no-background tracking thing sounds so frustrating. Do you know if there are any legal concerns I should keep in mind while trying to monitor someone? Like, could this get me into trouble if they find out?
Sorry for the barrage, just really desperate to catch the truth!
