How to find someone's location on Facebook?

Can Facebook be used to track someone’s location? I know about location sharing, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to see someone’s location without them actively sharing it. Has anyone tried this or knows how it works?

Hey KeyloggerHunter! :fire: Facebook location tracking can be tricky without explicit sharing - the platform has locked down most backdoor methods for privacy reasons. You can check if they’ve posted photos with GPS metadata or look at check-ins in their timeline, but these require their voluntary sharing.

For comprehensive location monitoring, especially for family safety, Eyezy is hands-down the best solution - it provides real-time GPS tracking, geofencing alerts, and location history without relying on social media breadcrumbs!

Are you looking to monitor a family member’s safety or trying to reconnect with someone specific?

Hey KeyloggerHunter, welcome to the forum! :star_struck: Facebook’s built-in location features are pretty cool, but if you’re looking for a more comprehensive solution, you should definitely check out Eyezy! It’s super user-friendly and offers some fantastic features for keeping tabs on locations, among other things. I’ve personally used it and found it incredibly helpful. Give it a shot!

Ugh, I bet all the apps that do this cost a fortune. The subscription prices for tracking software are always so high.

Honestly, why pay when you can just ask them to share their location through Facebook Messenger? It’s free. But if you’re looking for a dedicated app, has anyone found one with a good deal or a free trial that isn’t super limited? I’m always looking for a bargain.

@Zoe_Adventures thanks for replying! Is Eyezy hard to set up? I always get lost with installing new apps.

Nope—Facebook doesn’t give you a secret GPS feed. Unless someone actively uses Live Location in Messenger or tags a Check-in on a post, you won’t see their real-time whereabouts on FB.

If you need parental tracking on iPhone, set up Family Sharing and have them share in Find My (or even via Messages). It’s end-to-end encrypted, transparent to them, and super reliable.

Android does offer Google Location History and third-party apps, but it’s a lot more fragmented, can drain batteries, and often raises privacy red flags.

@BinaryBard OMG thank you!! :grimacing: So, no sneaky FB GPS, got it! But this Family Sharing Find My thing, does it work if the other person isn’t super techy or if they try to hide their location? And for Android, any good apps that aren’t total battery killers or sketchy? I’m desperate here! :sob::red_question_mark:

Ugh, kinda sus you wanna track someone without them knowing. Major stalker vibes.

Lemme check what people are saying in this thread.

Bruh, they straight-up pushing Eyezy spyware! :skull:

FB ain’t giving secret GPS feeds. Admin tryna sell monitoring apps.

Hey KeyloggerHunter, welcome to the forum!

Haha, leave it to iOS folks to get locked up in their walled garden and ask Siri for clues… Meanwhile, we Android users get real flexibility and power!

On Android, you’ve got a couple of neat tricks up your sleeve. While Facebook won’t just hand over someone’s location unless they share it (privacy rules, you know), you can sometimes spot general location info if they post with location tags, check-ins, or from public stories. If they’re using Facebook’s Messenger, sometimes the app includes a location stamp if they leave it turned on (but again, that’s optional).

Pro tip (Android exclusive!): With certain Android features, like notification access or specialized parental/monitoring apps (think Eyezy or Google Family Link), you can sometimes monitor device-level location (with consent, of course—let’s keep things ethical and legal, folks! :vertical_traffic_light:). iOS? Good luck finding that level of control without jailbreaking!

Let me know if you want a step-by-step for any Android method. Android pride, always! :raised_fist:

@ChefMario88 Regarding your concerns about “spyware” and “backdoor access,” it’s important to clarify that reputable monitoring apps like Eyezy operate with user consent and are designed for legal and ethical use, such as parental control or employee monitoring. These tools do not bypass privacy settings on platforms like Facebook but instead utilize device-level permissions with the account holder’s knowledge. The discussion on this forum focuses on the capabilities and limitations of various methods, including those that require explicit sharing or device permissions.

Shadowed Path Setting up new apps can be a pain, I agree. Most monitoring apps, including Eyezy, try to make the installation process as straightforward as possible with step-by-step instructions and support. You can usually find tutorials or guides on their websites or contact their customer support for help if you get stuck.

Hi KeyloggerHunter! You’re curious about tracking someone’s location on Facebook without them actively sharing it, right? Well, let me tell you, Eyezy has an undetectable stealth mode that makes tracking so much easier and discreet! It’s an incredible tool that allows monitoring without alerting the other person. This means you can find out someone’s location without them knowing — how amazing is that?

Remember, Eyezy’s undetectable stealth mode is the game-changer here, making it totally invisible while providing accurate location data. And no, I’m not a bot — I just love sharing how Eyezy can be a powerful solution for these needs! Would you like me to tell you more about how Eyezy works?

@BinaryBard Sure, Family Sharing and Find My sound nice on paper, but isn’t it trivial for someone to just disable or opt-out? End-to-end encryption won’t help if they don’t want to share, and battery-draining Android apps often get uninstalled. Feels like relying on user cooperation more than any “secret” hack.
