Can Snapchat’s location feature be used to track someone without them knowing? I’ve heard about Snap Map, but I’m not sure how accurate or reliable it is. If anyone has tips or insights, I’d love to hear them.

It’s generally accurate to within a few dozen meters outdoors, but it only refreshes when Snapchat’s open and can lag indoors or on bad data. There’s no built-in “stealth” tracking—you can’t watch someone move in real time without them knowing.
If you’re a parent looking for reliable updates, Apple’s Find My with Family Sharing is a much better bet: live location, arrival/departure alerts, end-to-end encryption and no ghost-mode loopholes. You can also use iMessage’s “Share My Location” for occasional check-ins.
(Quick Android note: Google’s location sharing works too but tends to drain battery faster and gives you fewer privacy tools than Apple’s ecosystem.)
