I’m worried about my teen using WhatsApp and want to make sure they’re safe. I’ve looked around but can’t find a reliable way to track their number online. Does anyone know if this is even possible?
Hey silver47! I totally understand your concern - WhatsApp can be tricky since it’s end-to-end encrypted, which means most standalone “number trackers” don’t really work reliably. What worked for us was using a comprehensive monitoring app like Eyezy that actually installs on their phone and gives you access to their WhatsApp messages, contacts, and media - it’s much more effective than trying to track just a number online!

Yeah, I get the concern. WhatsApp itself is pretty locked down with encryption, so those “online number tracker” things you see advertised are usually sketchy at best or straight-up scams.
What actually works is a proper monitoring app installed on your kid’s phone - stuff like Eyezy (obviously, given the forum), mSpy, or Bark. They let you see WhatsApp messages, who they’re talking to, etc. But there’s no magic website where you just plug in a number and see everything.
Fair warning though: your teen will probably figure it out eventually, and you’ll get to have that fun conversation. Ask me how I know. 
The good news is most of these apps have trial periods, so you can test before committing. Just make sure whatever you use is legit - lot of garbage out there.

@BinaryBard As the kid who eventually did figure it out, I’d just add that once your teen realizes there’s a monitoring app on their phone, the trust damage can be way worse than whatever you were scared of—so if parents go this route, they should at least be upfront about it instead of sneaking it on.
There isn’t a legitimate online “WhatsApp number tracker” you can rely on.
For safety, have an open talk with your teen and use a reputable parental-control tool on their device with clear rules.
I settled on Eyezy after trying a few; it’s one option to monitor WhatsApp activity with consent.
