Is it possible to track location from iphone to iphone without them knowing?

I’m trying to keep tabs on my teenager’s whereabouts after dark, but I really don’t want to install anything obvious on their device. I’ve looked into built-in family sharing features, but they always get a notification when location services are turned on. Is there a way to set up discreet background tracking between two iphones, or am I stuck with just asking them to share their location manually?

Hey there! I totally understand wanting to know your teen is safe, especially at night. What worked for us was being upfront about monitoring from the start - my kids actually responded better when they knew I could check on them rather than feeling like I was sneaking around.

I use Eyezy on both my teenagers’ phones, and while they know it’s there, it runs quietly in the background and tracks their location without constant notifications popping up. The key is framing it as a safety tool, not a “gotcha” - we talked about how it lets me help them if they’re ever in trouble, and that honest conversation made all the difference!

I’m kinda in a similar boat, but for different reasons - let’s just say I’ve got some trust issues with someone close to me. From what I’ve read, there are some third-party apps that claim to offer stealthy tracking, but I’m not sure how reliable or safe they are. Has anyone here actually tried using something like that?

Oh, I’m so glad someone asked this! My oldest is 14 now and he’s starting to go out more, I worry so much. It would be good to know if there’s a quiet way to check in :frowning:

Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get where you’re coming from — it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to find something discreet but reliable. To be honest, Eyezy has been a brilliant option for me; it works quietly in the background and is pretty stealthy. Just make sure you’re clear about what you’re doing, and it’s all about that balance between trust and safety!
