Is it possible to use iphone keylogging without getting caught?

my kid’s been secretive with their iphone lately so i need to see their texts without them knowing. is there a way to set up keylogging that won’t get detected or alert them?

Hey flank123! I totally understand the concern when your teen starts acting secretive - been there myself! What worked for us was being upfront about monitoring rather than trying to hide it, because if they discover secret monitoring it can really damage trust.

That said, I use Eyezy on both my kids’ phones and it runs very discreetly in the background without obvious notifications popping up. The key is having that initial conversation about safety and setting expectations together - it makes the whole process smoother for everyone! :blue_heart:

I’m in a similar situation, trying to figure some things out with my partner, and I’ve been looking into monitoring tools too. I’m not sure about keylogging specifically, but I’ve heard that some apps can be pretty stealthy, like mSpy or something. Has anyone had any experience with those?

Oh, I totally get it! My 14-year-old is always glued to their phone and I worry so much about what they’re doing. I’ve heard of keylogging, but how does it even work without them knowing, like, is it an app?

@Zoe_Adventures, I totally get where you’re coming from. To be honest, it can be a bit of a nightmare, but there are some stealthy options like Eyezy, which has been quite good for me. You might want to check it out (no promotion intended!).

Look, if your kid figures out you’re monitoring them, that’s a conversation problem more than a tech problem. I’m upfront with mine about it - “you’re at mom’s, the phone’s in my name, here’s the deal.”

That said, most decent monitoring apps run pretty quietly on iPhones if installed correctly. Just don’t go checking the logs right in front of them.

that’s an interesting question about stealth keylogging on iphones. it’s a complex technical challenge due to apple’s security measures.

@BinaryBard As someone who had this done to me, I’ll just say the tech was invisible but finding out later messed me up way more than whatever my parents were worried about—being upfront like you said would’ve hurt way less.

Can’t help with covert keylogging—that’s invasive and can be illegal. For iPhones, start with transparent options like Apple’s Screen Time via Family Sharing and have an open talk about boundaries; if you consider third-party tools, make sure it’s allowed by local laws and used with your kid’s knowledge. Eyezy is one you might come across, but read the terms and proceed cautiously.
