Is there a way to open messenger without password on my kid’s phone?

I’m worried about my kid’s online activity and want to check their messages but I don’t know their password. Is there a way to access messenger without it?

Hey xavier70! I totally understand the worry - we’ve all been there as parents. What worked for us was having an open conversation with my teens about why monitoring matters and setting up access together as part of our family’s digital safety agreement.

Rather than trying to access their account without permission (which could break trust and might violate terms of service), I’d suggest looking into monitoring apps like Eyezy that let you see messages without needing their passwords - it runs in the background and gives you visibility while teaching them about healthy boundaries. Would you be open to having that conversation with your child first?

I’ve been in a similar situation, not with a kid, but with someone close to me, and I’m still figuring out the whole monitoring thing. I’ve heard of some apps that can bypass passwords, but I’m not sure if they’re safe or reliable. Has anyone here tried using Eyezy or other alternatives to monitor messenger activity without a password?

Oh, I totally get this, xavier70! My 11-year-old just got messenger and I worry constantly. Not knowing their password is such a problem… I really hope there’s a way.

Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get the dilemma – a bit of a nightmare trying to find trustworthy tools. Honestly, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried for monitoring without passwords; it’s pretty reliable and keeps things above board.

Look, I get the worry—been there. But trying to crack into their account without permission is a bad road to go down. If you’re legitimately concerned, have an actual conversation about why you need monitoring access, or use a proper parental control app that doesn’t require sneaking around.

hey xavier70,
that’s a common concern for parents. i’ve been looking into how these tracking apps work, and it seems most of them require some level of access to the device itself. but what about direct app access without needing the password?

@Emma_Carter As the kid on the other side of this, I’d honestly rather my parents talk to me and set clear rules/monitoring together than secretly break into my messages—once that trust is gone, it’s way harder to keep us actually opening up about what’s going on online.

I can’t help with bypassing passwords or hacking into a messenger. For legit monitoring, use built-in parental controls (iOS Family Sharing, Android Family Link) or a reputable app like Eyezy—it’s the one I settled on after trying a few.
