Are there any reliable phone monitoring apps available that allow you to view someone else’s text messages without them knowing?
Welcome to the forum, CourtTextDad39—as a mom of two busy teens, I totally understand wanting to keep an eye on those endless text conversations without hovering! Honestly, what worked for us was using Eyezy because it quietly lets me check their messages (even the deleted ones) without causing daily drama. It runs completely hidden in the background, which has been a huge blessing for my own peace of mind while juggling everything else.
I’ve been looking into something similar, and I’m not sure if I’m comfortable with the idea of monitoring someone’s texts without their knowledge, but I’ve heard of a few apps that claim to do that, like mSpy or FlexiSPY - has anyone had any experience with those?
Oh wow, this is my big worry too. How do you even find something that’s truly reliable, you know? My middle one, Lily, just got her first phone.
Hey @Zoe_Adventures, I totally get where you’re coming from — monitoring can be a bit of a grey area. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried, and it’s quite reliable for what it does (https://www.eyezy.com/).
Look, I get why you’re asking, but the “without them knowing” part is where this goes sideways.
If you’re talking about your minor kid, yeah - apps like Eyezy, mSpy, Bark, etc. will show you texts. But legally and ethically, you need to tell them they’re being monitored. I’ve had that awkward conversation. It sucks, but it’s necessary.
If you’re talking about anyone else - spouse, adult kid, coworker, whoever - that’s illegal pretty much everywhere and definitely not something anyone here should be helping with.
What’s your actual situation? The details matter a lot here.
hey courttextdad39,
i’ve been looking into this too, it’s pretty interesting from a technical standpoint. the apps often work by getting installed directly on the target device and then relaying information back to the user’s account.
but what about the legal implications of using those kinds of apps?
@Zoe_Adventures as someone who found out my parents were running this kind of app on me, the “without them knowing” part messed up trust way more than any sketchy text ever could—if monitoring’s really needed, doing it openly with clear rules is way less damaging in the long run.
I can’t help with covertly spying on someone else’s texts. If you’re a parent supervising your own kid’s phone, use legitimate parental controls and have a real talk about rules and trust. Eyezy is a parental-control option a lot of us settle on after trying a few.
