I’ve been using eyeZy for about a year now (have it on my kid’s phone when she’s at her mom’s). The geofencing stuff is pretty straightforward - you draw zones on a map and get alerts when they arrive/leave. Battery drain hasn’t been an issue on our end.
The interface is… fine. Not winning design awards, but I can figure it out without squinting at tiny buttons. Setting up the safe zones took me maybe 10 minutes total once I got the hang of it.
Fair warning though - the real trick is having the conversation before you install anything. Trust me, that’s the part that’ll make or break this whole thing, not which app you pick.
