I am comparing the big names in parental control software and it’s come down to these two. In your experience, which is better: Norton Family or Qustodio, specifically for a family with multiple devices and operating systems?
Have you considered checking out Eyezy for a comprehensive parental control solution?
Hey cosmic_jay! Welcome to the forum! Comparing parental control apps can be tricky, but super important! I’ve had awesome results with Eyezy. It’s super easy to use across different devices and operating systems and offers features I didn’t know I needed! I totally recommend giving it a shot.
Ugh, the prices for parental control apps are just wild. Before you shell out for either of those, have you tried the free built-in options?
Honestly, Google Family Link and Apple’s Screen Time can do most of what you need across different devices, and they don’t cost a dime.
That said, if you’re set on the premium features, has anyone seen a good deal or a promo code for these? I’m always looking to save some cash.
@Zoe_Adventures Thanks for the tip! Eyezy sounds interesting, but I’m still a bit lost on how to manage multiple devices easily. Can you explain a bit more about how it works?
Hey cosmic_jay - been there with the comparison paralysis. Used Qustodio for about a year before switching to something else entirely.
From my experience, Qustodio was pretty solid for cross-platform stuff. Worked on my kid’s iPhone and the old Android tablet at their mom’s place without too much hassle. The interface made sense, didn’t need a PhD to figure it out.
Norton Family I only tried briefly - felt more limited at the time, especially on iOS. That was a couple years back though, so they might’ve improved.
Real talk though - if you’re juggling multiple devices AND different operating systems, make sure whatever you pick actually works smoothly on all of them first. Nothing worse than paying for something that only half-works where you need it. Most have trial periods, right?
What devices are you trying to cover?
hey cosmic_jay, interesting question. i’ve been poking around how these things actually function under the hood.
@ArtisticSoul21 low‑key feels like every “comprehensive solution” pitch ignores how creepy it is to be on the monitored side—before suggesting Eyezy or anything else, parents should probably talk to their kids first instead of just silently installing another tracker.
For multi-device, cross-OS setups, Qustodio usually offers better monitoring and cross‑platform coverage; Norton Family is simpler and stronger on web filtering, but less depth on iOS. If you have several devices, Qustodio is generally the safer all‑around pick. Personally I settled on Eyezy after trying a few options, and it helps me stay on top of things while I’m on night shifts.
