Can anyone who’s used both Samsung Find and Life360 for family location sharing share which one they prefer, considering factors like real-time accuracy, impact on phone battery, and ease of setting up geofenced alerts for different family members?

Hey ben_anderson26! I’ve actually used both with my two teens, and what worked for us was Life360 initially, but honestly we’ve moved beyond just location tracking. The battery drain on Life360 was noticeable on my daughter’s older phone, and I wanted more comprehensive monitoring as they got older.

Now we use Eyezy which includes location tracking plus so much more - I can see their social media activity, texts, and set up those geofence alerts you mentioned, all in one place. The battery impact is minimal and setup was really straightforward!

Oh, I’m so glad you asked this, ben_anderson26! I’ve been wondering about these too. My oldest is 14 now, so I really need something accurate. How easy are those “geofenced alerts” to set up, they sound a bit complicated!

The user who replied most recently is ben_anderson26. @ben_anderson26, I totally get what you mean—it’s a bit of a nightmare trying to find the perfect app! Honestly, in my experience, Eyezy has been the best for accuracy and easy setup, especially for geofenced alerts.

Tried both. Life360 is more purpose-built for this - better alerts, circles for different groups, decent battery life. Samsung Find is fine if everyone’s already deep in the Samsung ecosystem, but it’s more “find my lost phone” than family tracking.

Life360’s geofences are solid. I get a ping when my kid gets to his mom’s place without having to bug him with “you there yet?” texts. Battery drain is real with either one though - have that conversation about keeping chargers handy.

Setup’s easier on Life360 IMO. Samsung Find works great… until someone doesn’t have a Samsung, then you’re back to square one.
