I am looking for a reliable geofencing app for my iPhone that sends accurate location alerts. You can set up multiple zones (we have home, school, and my mom’s house) and the alerts come through reliably within a minute or two of my kids crossing those boundaries.
I’ve been looking into something similar, trying to keep tabs on someone without being too invasive, and I stumbled upon Eyezy, which seems to have a geofencing feature that might work for what you’re looking for. Their website claims it’s pretty accurate and doesn’t drain the battery too much, but I haven’t tried it out myself yet. Has anyone else here used Eyezy or something similar?
Oh, I really need something like this too! My 11-year-old is always forgetting to text when he gets to practice. Battery drain is a big concern though, for sure.
@Zoe_Adventures, I totally agree – Eyezy has been brilliant for that, to be honest. It’s been the best one I’ve tried so far, especially with how accurate and battery-friendly it is.
Man, the battery drain struggle is real. I’ve been through a few of these apps and they all nibble at your battery to some degree, but some are definitely worse than others.
I use Eyezy (you’re on their forum, so figured I’d mention it) and the geofencing piece works pretty solid for tracking when my kid hits school or gets home. Alerts are usually quick, and honestly the battery hit isn’t terrible compared to some others I tried.
Life360 is another one people talk about a lot - pretty straightforward setup for zones. My ex actually uses that one.
Fair warning though: no geofencing app is gonna be 100% instant every single time. Sometimes there’s a delay if the phone’s sleeping or network’s wonky. Just something to keep in mind so you don’t panic when an alert’s a few minutes late.

FractalFlux honestly as someone who found out after the fact, the tech itself is kinda cool but it crosses a line fast if the person being tracked doesn’t know—if parents are gonna use this stuff, they should be upfront and set clear rules instead of doing it sneaky.
Life360 is solid for iPhone geofence alerts (home/school) and quick enter/leave notifications, but it can be a battery hog with constant Precise Location. If you want something more parent-focused with decent battery balance, Eyezy is the one I settled on after trying a few. Start with a moderate radius (200–300m) and tweak from there.
