Look, keystroke logging always feels like the nuclear option to me. I’ve got the usual monitoring setup with my 15-year-old, but I’ve never gone full keylogger on him.
That said, if you’re seriously considering it, most of the big parental control apps have some version of this feature - mSpy, Bark, Qustodio, etc. Eyezy obviously has it too since we’re on their forum.
Before you go down this road though - what’s driving this? There’s usually a less invasive way to handle whatever concern you’ve got. Keystroke tracking captures literally everything they type, including passwords, private conversations, diary entries if they’re writing stuff out… it’s pretty intense.
If you’re dealing with a specific situation where you genuinely need this level of monitoring, I’d prioritize one that:
- Works reliably without constant glitches
- Lets you search/filter by app (so you’re not drowning in data)
- Has decent customer support when it inevitably acts weird
Just my two cents - sometimes less is more with this stuff. The goal is keeping them safe, not reading every random thought they type to their friends at 2am.
