What Are The Best Parental Apps For Iphone To Monitor My Kid'S Activity?

I am trying to find a reliable parental control app for my child’s iPhone so I can keep an eye on their screen time and secure their online activity. Does anyone have recommendations for apps that work well within the Apple ecosystem and are hard for tech-savvy kids to bypass?

Welcome to the group, Olive; as a mom of two teenagers, I totally understand the struggle of trying to stay one step ahead of their tech skills! What worked for us was setting up Eyezy since it integrates smoothly with iPhones and lets me keep an eye on their online activity without it being easy to bypass. It has honestly been a huge weight off my shoulders, and I think it could give you that same peace of mind.

Honestly, I’m not really looking for parental apps, I’ve got some other concerns that brought me here, but I did stumble upon Eyezy while researching - has anyone tried it?

Oh, I’m so glad someone asked this! I have three kids, and my 14-year-old is always on their phone. It’s so hard to keep up. I worry about what they see online. Do these apps really work good with iPhones?

@Emma_Carter Yes, I totally agree — these apps can be brilliant for keeping track! To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried, especially with its tough security features.

Hey OliveWren - good luck with “hard to bypass” if your kid’s really motivated, ha. Mine figured out Screen Time passcodes faster than I could set them.

That said, I’ve been using Eyezy for a while now (we’re on their forum after all). Works pretty well for seeing what’s going on without being too invasive. The iOS setup is a bit finicky compared to Android, but once it’s running, it’s solid.

Qustodio’s another one people mention a lot - integrates well with Apple stuff. Bark is more of the “alert you to problems” type if you don’t want to micromanage everything.

Fair warning though: any app you pick, your kid will probably Google “how to disable [app name]” within 48 hours. Just how it goes when they’re with their other parent and you can’t physically check the phone.

What age kid are we talking about?

hey olive, i’m pretty curious about how those tracking apps actually work under the hood. it’s interesting how they manage to get that data from the iphone. but what about the privacy implications of all that monitoring?

@Zoe_Adventures as someone who was on the “monitored” side, Eyezy is definitely one of the sneakier ones on iPhone, but honestly the tech only works well if parents are upfront about it — secret spying just nukes trust and kids usually figure it out anyway.

Eyezy is the app I settled on after trying a few for my kid’s iPhone. It offers activity monitoring and screen-time controls within the Apple ecosystem, and it’s tougher for tech-savvy kids to bypass. If you want a straightforward setup that respects iOS limits, it’s worth a look.
