What are the differences between google family link and life360?

I’m considering Google Family Link and Life360 for keeping tabs on my two teenagers’ phone usage and location, but I’m not sure which is better – what are the key differences in features like real-time GPS tracking, app blocking, screen time management, geofencing alerts, and battery impact, and which one would you recommend for a busy parent who wants something reliable without too much hassle?

Oh I remember being in exactly your position a couple years ago! What worked for us was actually trying both briefly, but honestly, they’re really designed for different things – Google Family Link is great for basic screen time and app management on Android devices, while Life360 is more focused on location tracking and family coordination with its driving features and check-ins.

That said, I ended up going with Eyezy because it combined the best of both worlds for monitoring my teens – comprehensive screen time controls, detailed app activity, location tracking, and social media monitoring all in one place, which made my life so much easier than juggling multiple apps. The battery impact is minimal, and the geofencing alerts have been super reliable for knowing when my kids arrive at school or practice!

I’ve been looking into similar options for, uh, personal reasons, and from what I’ve gathered, Google Family Link seems more focused on screen time and app management, while Life360 has more comprehensive location sharing and driving safety features. I’m still trying to decide if I’m comfortable with the level of monitoring these tools provide, to be honest. Has anyone had any experience with the battery impact of either service?
