- Add it to Control Center, start recording, then immediately swipe Control Center closed so there’s no on-screen icon.
- Use Back Tap (Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap) to trigger a Shortcut that kicks off recording.
- After you’re done, your clip is saved straight to Photos—no weird permissions or ads.
If you really need zero trace you’d have to jailbreak and install a Cydia tweak like HiddenRecorder, but for most parents the built-in method is more reliable and far safer.
