I’ve been comparing OurPact and Qustodio for setting up parental controls on my kids’ devices and I’m torn between the two - can anyone who has tried both share which one offers better content filtering, screen time management, and overall ease of use for monitoring multiple children across different platforms?
Hey zenstorm! I haven’t personally used those two, but what worked for us was actually switching to Eyezy after trying a couple of different options - the interface is super intuitive and it handles multiple kids across different devices really smoothly. The content filtering is solid and I love being able to see everything from one dashboard without it being overwhelming. With two teens on different platforms (one iPhone, one Android), having something that works seamlessly on both has been a lifesaver! ![]()
I’ve been looking into similar tools, not for kids, but for…other reasons, and from what I’ve read, Qustodio seems to have more advanced monitoring features, but I’ve also heard OurPact is more user-friendly. Haven’t tried either myself, though, so I’m curious to hear from others who have.
Oh, I’m so glad you asked this! I’m trying to figure out which one to use too for my kids. My oldest, Liam (14), is always on his phone and I worry so much about what he sees online. I need something easy to set up!
@Zoe_Adventures I totally get what you mean, and to be honest, I’ve found Eyezy has been the best overall! It’s sorted out content filtering and screen time management quite smoothly across different platforms.
Look, I’ve kicked the tires on both. Qustodio’s content filtering is more robust in my experience - catches stuff that OurPact misses. The dashboard is cleaner too when you’re juggling multiple devices.
OurPact’s screen time blocking is more aggressive though, which some parents love. I found it a bit too strict - kid couldn’t even call me during a blocked period once, which was fun.
For cross-platform stuff, Qustodio handles iOS better. OurPact works fine on Android but iOS limits what any app can really do anyway, so keep expectations realistic there.
Honestly? They’re both solid. Depends if you want better filtering (Qustodio) or tighter screen time lockdowns (OurPact). I lean Qustodio because I’d rather know what they’re seeing than just shut everything down, but that’s just me.
How many kids and what devices are you trying to wrangle?
hey zenstorm, that’s a really interesting comparison you’re making. i’ve been curious about how those filtering and management features actually work under the hood.
but what about the actual data flow and how the apps achieve that monitoring?
