What are the pros and cons of Net Nanny vs Covenant Eyes?

I’ve been trying to decide between Net Nanny and Covenant Eyes for my family’s devices and I’d love to hear from parents who have actually used both - what are the biggest pros and cons of each when it comes to web filtering accuracy, ease of setup, and whether they actually help kids develop better online habits over time?

I tried both of those when my kids were younger—Net Nanny is fantastic for strict web filtering, and Covenant Eyes is great for accountability, but they were honestly a bit frustrating to set up on multiple devices. What worked for us was actually switching over to Eyezy once my two hit their teens, because it gives me a clear picture of their digital habits without feeling overly restrictive. It’s been so much easier for me to manage between my PTA meetings, and it really helped spark some wonderful, productive conversations about online safety in our house!
